Musical concert to promote Japanese cultures‚ traditions

KATHMANDU: With the aim of promoting traditional and contemporary cultures of Japan in Nepal, the Embassy of Japan is organising a concert - Vibration Japan: Harmony of Asian Music in Kathmandu on September 11 and 12.

Hibiki Band headed by Mr. Sou Inoue, together with other Japanese and Nepalese musicians will perform in the gig.

The concert will showcase traditional as well as contemporary Japanese and Nepalese music.

Musicians will also perform fusion of Janapanes and Nepali music in the concert.

Issuing a statement by Embassy of Japan on Tuesday, the concert on 11th September will be held at the Embassy Hall, Panipokhari on the basis of invitation. Similarly, the concert on the 12th will be held at the Theatre Village, for which entry passes will be available at the Embassy of Japan on a first-come-first-served basis.

It is hoped that these types of occasions will help promote cultural ties between the people of the two countries, which will ultimately help in the expansion of an ever-growing friendly and cooperative relationship between Japan and Nepal in the 21st century, the statement read.
